The March 2012 online auction quilts have been selected. The auction starts March 1, 2012. (TODAY!) Please bid generously as all profits fund Alzheimer’s research.
This month you get THREE ways to see the quilts. Let me know which one you like best.
1. Slideshow (WordPress).
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
2. YouTube “TimeLapse” Slideshow.
3. YouTube Video
4. WordPress GALLERY (just added). (Click so see each quilt larger, and then arrow forward or back to look at the next one.)
Then please share your favorite one!
You can also go from quilt to quilt here.

#3 video very nice close ups, able to view the work.
I like the WordPress Gallery (#4) because after you click on the first image to enlarge it you can scroll through the other quilts in the enlarged size. It does the best job of looking at the quilts up close. I love seeing the detail.
I liked the last one best… the one that said just added. Once you clicked on one picture to enlarge it, they were all large enough to see and with the arrows on each side, you can take your time to really look a quilt over in detail and then click to the next one. The slide shows move too fast for my taste. I like to be able to control what I am viewing. They were all lovely by the way.
I prefer #1 – the WordPress slide show. No distracting progress bar at the bottom and more time to look at each quilt.
Move your mouse off the YouTube video and the status bar will go away.
I still like the page as it was, but of the slideshows I like the Slideshow (WordPress) best.
Thanks for your hard work and ingenuity.
You’re in luck. The auction (http://www.alzquilts.org/quiltauction.html) page hasn’t changed. Our home page has a video this month, but will have the collage again next month.
1. Word Press Slideshow – BEST! But how to see the details and bid on one?
2. You Tube Slideshow – too fast
3. You tube Video – too patchy
1. I forgot the link to bid. It’s up there now.
2. Bring your cursor onto the image and hit the STOP button when you want to look at one longer. (I think.)
3. “Too patchy” might be your Internet connection. Or sun spots. Is there a cat sitting on your WI-FI? (Just trying to help. It’s been a long day.)
These are lovely but before when all were displayed one could stop and enlarge and study an individual quilt and easily go back to the one you wanted to bid on. I must have missed something in these videos but was not able to do so. The music is relaxing also.
Here’s the “before:” http://www.alzquilts.org/quiltauction.html
My favorite is the WordPress slideshow. The YouTube slide show goes a little to fast to my way of thinking. Our internet connection isn’t fast enough to watch YouTube videos. Sometimes I can go about my business and let a video play, then come back and replay to watch but that hasn’t worked with this one .
I liked # 3 because it brought you up close & personal. It helps you see the artists thought process.
I like the slide show
