The September Online Auction of small quilts is up and running. As always, all profits fund Alzheimer’s research, so please bid generously.

Thanks to Daphne and Leon Stewart, the “new and improved” Honor Roll is now on the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative web page. This intrepid duo went to more than 6,000 web pages on our site and painstakingly snagged the name and location of every single quilter who has ever donated a quilt to the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative and compiled a list! (How about a hand for Daphne and Leon here in the comment section?!)
If you have donated a quilt, please check and see that your listing is accurate. Instructions on what to do if it is not are also included.

Priority: Alzheimer’s Quilts are pouring in but it looks like we’re about 250 quilts short of making our goal of 1,000 quilts to sell at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas during the first week in November. The next two weeks are crucial if we are to meet our goal. Raise your hand in the comment section if you can make a little 9″ x 12″ quilt by September 15th. Sooner would be better.
As always, thank you all for your continued and dedicated support in our fight to end this terrible disease by the work of our own hands.
Join our cause on Facebook and invite your friends to do the same.

You’ve already received two and I’m working on another…just wondering if it’s too late for a possible Houston spot. It’s fun going to Houston via your tweets and I hope you do that again this year!
Thank you so much!
oops! I was so involved in tucking in my “babies” for their trip I forgot to add the applause for Daphne and Leon. Going thru 6000 pages – now that’s dedication!
There are two little quilts here all snuggled up in a priority mailer just waiting for tomorrow when they can start their journey to Diane.
I’ve submitted registration for 2 quilts and will send them as soon as I receive the numbers. Good luck in reaching your goal.
I’m will commit to send at least one (hopefully more).
I have one ready to go but need to know how—again please.
Nansi
All the information you need is at AlzQuilts.org
I have a quilt ready to get registered & mailed. It’s my design.
Just mailed five to Diane today. I’ll see if I can get a couple more finished.
Count me in for at least one more…
Everyone associated with AAQI does a terrific job! Clap! Clap! Clap!
I can get you at least one quilt in the next 2 weeks. Take care,
Gini
Applause! Applause! Hooray for the hard work of Daphne and Leon.
And that little quilt has sure given me problems – it’s version 4 now and hopefully the final one. And then I’d just better add another so you can make the 1000!
I’ll do a quilt for you. It’s been a while since I’ve made a priority quilt, but am glad to help you out to reach your goal for Houston.
My hand is up, too! I have 5 more that are completed, just names and registration to go, and 3 more are in the works. My goal is to get a total of 10 more to you for Houston.
Everyone, please jump in and quilt!
I’ll make a quilt in the next 2 weeks! I already have permission from the designer.
I have a Priority quilt top done and will get it quilted ASAP!
Have one awaiting registration response right now … will see if I can crank out a couple more in the next week or so!
My hand is raised. I have one little quilt ready to go and should have at least one more by September 15. Hmm. Maybe that means both my hands are raised.
I have 7 art quilts all done. Our quilt guild will be doing AAQI quilts for our block challange this year and I will be the Temporary Quilt Registration Goddess. I’ll show these quilts to them at our meeting on Sept., 13 and then put them in the mail on the 14th. I’ll try to get a couple more made if I can.
I have four, and will send them as soon as I get my numbers
just registered 3 a few days ago. ( :
